Pigeon Forge Golf Packages
One of, if not the, biggest reason Tennessee is a popular golf destination is due to the Smoky Mountains, or more specifically, golf courses found in the vicinity of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The Smoky Mountain National Park is the single most popular national park in America. This essentially means that Pigeon Forge gets bucket loads of visitors throughout the year, and a whole lot of them want to experience mountain golfing.
The 18-hole courses in the Pigeon Forge area are inviting, with the lush greenery and backdrop of the majestic Smokies. Pigeon Forge welcomes both visitors and serious golfers. Golfing packages here may include unlimited daily green time with all fees paid for and included in the package. Some packages even include food as part of the total golf package.
Guests are provided accommodations in a separate condo, chalet or golf villa. These accommodations include fireplaces, hot-tubs and balconies with breathtaking views of the Smokies. Free breakfasts will be provided to guests at some of the lodging facilities, and lunch can be enjoyed during a break at the course itself.
There is no better place or way to experience the pleasure of mountain golfing than Pigeon Forge golf and lodging packages. There are no hidden fees, and the Southern hospitality and food is unmatched. The courses are counted among the best in the world, and the location is the single most popular one for mountain vacations and getaways. Anyone who has visited here and teed off on the green will know that it is hard to find another location that offers the same experience, or even anywhere close to it.
Sevierville Golf Club offers two of our most popular courses in the Pigeon Forge area, The Highlands and The River. The Highlands course is a par 70 will large rolling hills and ponds that give you the true feel of golf in the Smokies. The River course is a par 72 that provides exactly what the name suggests with holes that wind beside and even across one of the area’s most beautiful rivers, the Little Pigeon. The Highlands course offers very large landing areas while the River forces golfers to carefully place more shots; however both courses are very playable by any level of golfer.
Gatlinburg Golf Course has been rated by Golf Digest as the best Municipal Golf Course in the nation. You would be hard pressed to find a course with better views than this one. With long rolling hills and substantial elevation changes this course can be challenging. Located just five miles from downtown Gatlinburg and just right down the road from Sevierville’s famous Dollywood this course is a must play for any one visiting the area.
River Islands Golf Club is located along the banks of the French Broad River where water comes into play on 9 holes. The course is a long 7,001 yards from the tips to challenge the long driver but is a more manageable 6,300 yards from the normal tees for the average player. River Islands features gorgeous Zoysia grass fairways and golfers usually report seeing a variety of wildlife depending on the time of year you visit.

The Tellico area has 6 courses available in our package with other courses close in nearby Knoxville. The 3 Tellico golf courses at the resort are Tanasi Golf Course, Links at Kahite, and Toqua Golf Course. Finally, Avalon caps off the area in spectacular fashion with a highly touted course that is very popular with local golfers and challenging as well. Each course is unique from one another, and the golf layouts offer a perfect combination of lake holes, elevation changes, and great conditions that will challenge golfers of every handicap. Even scratch golfers will find Rarity Pointe to be one of the toughest courses they have played!
Tellico Golf Courses
Avalon Golf Course is the creation of golf architect Joe Lee and is perched on a hillside that offers beautiful views of the East Tennessee countryside. The course is very well maintained and features water hazards and many bunkers that present a challenge for golfers and place an emphasis on risk-reward type shots. Avalon also gives back to the surrounding community by hosting many tournaments for charities in the area.
Rarity Bay is located just outside of Knoxville, TN and sits on 150 acres that offer some amazing views of Tellico Lake and the Great Smoky Mountains. The course presents a fun challenge with sloped fairways, challenging greens and natural water hazards provided by Tellico Lake. Many tee boxes are elevated giving golfer’s great views of not only the surrounding scenery but also of the fairways and greens making it easier to know where to place your tee shots.
WindRiver just completed a huge renovation in the spring of 2015 that added new tee boxes, fairways, redesigned bunkers, and added a new bar and grill to the clubhouse. The course ranges from 4,700 to 7,225 yards depending on which tee boxes you use making it a great course for any handicap. WindRiver also offers unlimited range balls and stocked carts including towels, tees and ice to keep your drinks cold as you enjoy yourself on the brand new redesigned course.
Tanasi Golf Course is potentially the most played course in Tellico with the club house sitting on a peninsula surrounded by Tellico Lake. The course features beautiful views of the lake on holes 1, 17 and 18. Holes 5, 14 and 18 are par threes that all have golfers hitting over water off the tee. Fairways have generous landing areas and the greens are fun to putt on with some having multiple tiers. Tanasi is a shorter course with a fun and friendly layout that is in great shape. This is one of our favorite courses in the area due to the beautiful views from the tee boxes as you navigate the course.
Toqua Golf Course is a par 72 course that was renovated in 2008 and now has four tee boxes that range from 5,230 to 6,910 yards. Toqua, like Tanasi, is placed on the banks of Tellico Lake with holes 3, 14 and 15 crossing the lake. Most fairways are tree lined placing an emphasis on shot placement but then open up to large greens.
Kahite is the newest of the three Tellico Village Courses and offers a unique style of play with views of Tellico Lake and the Great Smoky Mountains. This classic links style course is known around the area for being well maintained with very helpful and friendly staff to help you navigate the course. Kahite’s signature hole number 9, a 808 yard par 6, makes this course a must play for golfers traveling to the Knoxville/Tellico area.
Built in a lake community on the shores of Tellico Lake, the area offers mild temperatures year round with restaurants, boating, and villa accommodations to make your vacation stay comfortable. Combine the beauty of the area with the championship golf courses, this is one of the best locations we have in Tennessee.

Any visitor in Tennessee can always expect a healthy dose of good, old-fashioned Southern hospitality. But these Tennessee golf packages go the extra mile and pile it on with fine dining, theater and bargain shopping. There are even packages for couples that combine romance with golf, if that's possible.
The accommodations will likely be close to Fairfield Glade. Around half of the courses are located there and the remaining are within a short drive, so going back and forth is no big deal. The package supports this kind of freedom to hit the green whenever the heart desires, with guaranteed tee times and carts provided.
Most of the packages are pretty much all-inclusive. This means they include the accommodations, green fees, carts and all taxes, breakfast and many other resort-style facilities. Those who need even more flexibility can get customized packages tailored to match their likings.
Crossville Golf features two significant players in the golf industry with Fairfield Glade Golf Resort and Tennessee Golf Trail. Fairfield Glade has 5 resort style courses, listed below, with unique layouts that vary from mountain layouts to scenic lake holes with challenging golf and great conditions.
Fairfield Glade Golf Resort
Druid Hills is the highest elevation course in Fairfield glade which gives it some incredible scenic views of the nearby mountain chains. You will find a lot of water on the course with long rolling hills and tree lined fairways.
Dorchester is located in the backwoods of the Cumberland Plateau, and features a variety of holes that could have you hitting driver or iron off of the tee box. The shorter back side is more target style golf with several different landing areas such as hole 14 that has three different landing areas. Hole 13 is a beautiful short par three with a mountain backdrop and drastic elevation change. The front side will allow you to hit more drives such as hole 1 that requires a good tee shot to set up a fairway shot over a water feature. Most of the fairways are heavily tree lined making accuracy off the tee critical.
Heatherhurst Brae consists of the original 18 holes created on the property. The feature of this course is the double dogleg on hole 4 that has been said to be the toughest par 5 in the state of Tennessee. This 4+ star course has Zoysia grass fairways with generous landing areas and challenging par threes that can play up to 200 plus yards. Hole 10 is one of our favorites which will have golfers teeing off on top of a hill that leads down to a green surrounded by water.
Heatherhurst Crag is truly a mountain course with shot placement being extremely critical to get around the course. Fairways can get tight with plenty of elevation change that will test the distance on your approach shots. Hole 16 is one of the signature holes that has golfers teeing off of a bluff to a fairway with a rock facing on the right side. Some holes require an iron to tee off and/or hazard carries over water.
Stonehenge is a Joe Lee creation that utilizes natural structures on almost every hole. The 14th hole is beautifully made with 15-20 foot stone walls running down the left side of the fairway. These stone features will be noticed by golfers on multiple holes and are not surprisingly where the course got its name.
Other Area Courses
Bear Trace at Cumberland Mountain may be the most popular of the five Bear Trace courses. The Cumberland Mountain course is part of the Tennessee Golf Trail and has become one of the favorite places for visiting golfers to play due to Jack Nicklaus' great design. The course brings natural surroundings such as streams, elevation changes, flagstone and groups of matured pine trees into a championship caliber golf course. The par 72 course features elevation changes and is known for the 7th hole which has layered flagstone around the green.
Lake Tansi earned the title of “Best Golf Course in Cumberland County” in 2014 which, considering the number of well rated courses in Cumberland County, is quite an accomplishment. The course is fairly short but is meticulously maintained and is noted by many to have consistently fast greens.
Chattanooga, Tennessee is one of the South’s top travel destinations. The New York Times named Chattanooga TN one of the “Top 45 Places to go" in the World. Tucked between the mountains of Southeast Tennessee, along the beautiful Tennessee River, Chattanooga offers amazing natural beauty. But that’s just the beginning of what the Scenic City has to offer. There’s a world of outdoor adventure, amazing restaurants, live events, art and world-class attractions to explore.
Harrison Bay is one of the three Bear Trace courses designed by Jack Nicklaus in Tennessee. This course is conveniently located just twenty minutes north of downtown Chattanooga and is placed on an amazing piece of heavily wooded land. Water touches twelve holes; however the fairways have generous landing areas giving golfers ample space to land safely. Almost every green is open in the front making run-up shots very possible and making the course extremely playable for any level of golfer.
Nob North is located just south of Chattanooga in Whitfield County, GA. This par 72 course was designed by Gary Player and runs 6,573 yards from the tips. Golfers who have visited Nob North in the past will tell you that putting will be the most challenging hurdle to cross on this shorter course, if you can master the greens you’re in for a fantastic day on the links.
Canyon Ridge is said by many to be the best golf course in the Chattanooga, TN area. The course is set on Chattanooga’s famous Lookout Mountain with winding streams and natural rock landscapes that provide a perfect picturesque setting. Most of the tee boxes are elevated giving good views of the fairways with lots of opportunities for long drives. The course is challenging yet playable for any level golfer.
